The 3 hormones that have been sabotaging your weight loss …

So today we get into the nitty gritty details of why our body stores fat and how we can use this information to our advantage.

If we can alter the hormones and enzymes that determine whether we store or burn fat there is no way we can’t lose weight.

And I’m not talking about taking pills or prescriptions. There is no need for that.

Remember I told you in the last email that anything that causes our bodies to bundle up fat into triglycerides and trap the fat in our cells is going to make us fatter. Anything that causes us to break down triglycerides into individual fatty acids which can exit our fat cells will make us leaner.

So lets introduce the players. The hormones and enzymes that have been secretly working against you all this time.

The first key enzyme involved in fat regulation is lipoprotein lipase (LPL). This enzyme sticks out of our cells and pulls fat out of the blood stream and into our fat cells.

The more LPL activity on the fat cells … the fatter the cells get. Simple right?

Guess where women have the most LPL?

On their butt and hips. Guys have more LPL on their stomachs. This is the reason why men and women tend to fatten in different areas of their bodies.

LPL is also the reason why we don’t lose weight when we exercise. LPL activity actually increases in our fat cells AFTER a workout. If you thought hours in the gym was going to be the key to your fat loss then you are going to be disappointed.

The next key enzyme in fat metabolism is something called Hormone Sensitive Lipase (HSL).

HSL works inside the fat cells. The more active that HSL is the more triglycerides we break down and release from our fat cells. Increasing HSL is therefore going to make us leaner.

The third player in our fat metabolism is also the most critical. It is insulin. Insulin is secreted from our pancreas in response to carbohydrates.

Insulin is critical in the big picture because it effects the other two enzymes.

From the perspective of weight loss insulin increases the amount of fat we store and decreases the amount of fat we burn. In short INSULIN MAKES US FATTER.

How?

First it increases the activity of LPL, causing us to store more fat.

Secondly it suppresses the activity of HSL, ensuring that we don’t liberate any of the fat trapped in our cells.

It also has a number of other functions that ensure that we get fatter and in essence permanently traps fat in our hips, thighs, and belly.

The key to weight loss is optimizing our LPL, HSL, and Insulin. When we do this weight loss is easy.

Weight loss really isn’t hard. It’s hard when you are following programs that don’t harness the power and function of these hormones and enzymes but if you follow a scientific program then weight loss is virtually guaranteed.

You could run 2 hours a day on the treadmill or follow some fad diet and never actually lose any fat from the areas of your body you want to lose it the most.

Our weight loss program works like clockwork.
